Errors

The Edge API uses standard HTTP status codes to indicate success or failure.

Status codes

Code	Meaning
`200`	Success
`401`	Unauthorized — missing, invalid, revoked, or expired API key
`402`	Payment Required — insufficient credits
`404`	Not Found — endpoint or resource doesn’t exist
`422`	Validation Error — invalid request parameters
`429`	Too Many Requests — rate limit exceeded
`500`	Server Error — something went wrong on our end

All errors return a JSON response with an error field:

Authentication errors return a single error field:

Rate limits depend on your plan:

When rate limited, you’ll receive a 429 response with a Retry-After header indicating how many seconds to wait.
